New Vicar Announced!
Trevor Dawson, our Church Warden writes:
It is with the very greatest pleasure that we can announce that our curate, the Rev’d Lesley Bilinda, is to become Vicar of St. Andrew’s, Fulham Fields. Not surprisingly, this news was met with great excitement and much joy when it was announced to the congregation. In Lesley we have somebody who is totally committed to her ministry here at St. Andrew’s and we feel very fortunate and blessed that we shall benefit from the further flourishing of the gifts and talents that we have already glimpsed during her time here as curate. Lesley’s own personal faith journey has not been an easy one but she has been made the stronger for it and we can look forward with confidence to her leading the wider community of St. Andrew’s for many years to come.
Lesley’s service of Institution as Vicar will be on Wednesday 22nd June at 7.30pm so please mark this date in your diaries now and make a point of joining us for what will surely be a wonderful and joyous occasion. To assist both us, as the people of St. Andrew’s, and Lesley herself to prepare for the transition from curate to vicar, the Bishop has recommended that Lesley have a short time away from the parish during May and part of June.
May I thank you all for your prayers in the run up to the appointment, prayers which have most definitely been answered, and may I ask that you continue to pray for Lesley as she prepares to enter the next phase of her ministry as our vicar.
