Like all Church of England parish churches, St Andrew’s receives no money from government or any other public authorities. This is a good thing as it means that we are quite independent and are free to act in the name of Jesus Christ and according to his Gospel and in the interests of parishioners.
We have all kinds of costs and expenses like any other organisation: paying the priests and other workers; maintaining our many activities – providing for homeless people, activities for children and young people and offering worship of God; ensuring that our building is kept in good order; paying for electricity, water and gas.
Our income to pay for these costs comes from three sources: the giving of people who come to worship; donations from a variety of individuals and organisations; and the income we earn from making our buildings available to community organisations.
If you would like to make a donation or a regular financial commitment to St Andrew’s, please either be in touch with the vicar or churchwardens or complete this form and send it to us:
If you are a taxpayer, please consider adding the tax to your donation that you would otherwise give to the Chancellor
